In order to view the database you will need to download a program named Gramps. Click the link below to download the software for Windows.

1. Download and install Gramps from the link above.
   • Locate the folder on your computer where Gramps was downloaded. This is typically called Downloads.
   • Double click the installer, GrampsAIO-5.1.3-2_win64.exe
   • Follow the on-screen prompts to install Gramps onto your computer.
   • Once installed, you can find Gramps from the Windows menu, or by searching for Gramps.
   • On the last screen of the Installer it asks if you'd like to run Gramps. Check this box to start Gramps immediately.
2. Download the most recent version of the Clark Family History Database from the table above. This will take a long time since the file is very large.
3. Start the Gramps software on your computer and create a new Family named Clark.
   • When opening Gramps it asks you to load a Family Database. If this is the first time you've run it, create a new Family Tree and name it Clark. [photo]
   • Once created, select "Load Family Tree" in the bottom right corner.
   • In the top left of the main Gramps window, open the "Family Trees" menu and select Import. [photo]
   • In the "Import Family Tree" window find where you downloaded the database file, clark_family_v3.gpkg and select it the select "Import" in the lower right corner.
   • Importing the database may take a while and there may be messages telling you where things are going to be stored. You may click "OK" in these windows if present.
4. Once the import is finished, you will be presented with the "Dashboard" view as indicated by the left most column. Feel free to click through the categories to veiew what information is contained in the database.

To upgrade the Family Tree Database, simply follow the instructions to import the latest database from step 3 above. Additional items will be added to Gramps from the new database.
